Our Facilities

Facilities

At Keith Area School, our facilities are designed to support high-quality teaching, strong relationships and meaningful learning from Foundation through to Year 12. Our spaces are modern, flexible and purposeful, giving students every opportunity to learn, create and thrive.

Primary School

Our Primary classrooms are designed to feel open, connected and responsive to how students learn best.

Students learn in flexible, free-flowing classrooms with upgraded air conditioning and glass doors, allowing classes to work together and create larger shared learning environments when needed. Dedicated breakout spaces support play-based learning in the early years, while older students have access to common areas for small group and independent work.

Our Primary facilities also include a dedicated computer pod with new laptops, a take-home reader room to support early literacy, and a well-equipped Art room where creativity is encouraged and celebrated.

Secondary School

Our Secondary facilities provide students with access to specialised, real-world learning environments that prepare them for future pathways.

Students can work in large breakout and study spaces across both Middle and Senior School, supporting independence and collaboration. Our specialist IT space includes laser cutters and 3D printers, giving students hands-on experience with emerging technologies.

Purpose-built facilities for Home Economics, Science, Design and Technologies and Visual Arts allow students to engage in practical learning, from cooking and textiles through to welding, woodwork, metal fabrication and ceramics.

Our Agriculture program is a key feature of the school, with on-site facilities complemented by our nearby Fifth Street paddocks, providing authentic, hands-on agricultural experiences.

Grounds

Our grounds reflect the active, connected and community-focused nature of our school.

Students enjoy access to a range of outdoor spaces, including a full-sized football oval, hockey/soccer field and a newly developed Secondary play space with a half-court basketball court. Our redeveloped Primary playgrounds and covered outdoor areas provide safe and engaging environments for all ages.

A standout feature is our student-led KAS Café, open Tuesday to Thursday, along with our repurposed canteen operating on Fridays. These spaces provide authentic, real-world learning opportunities and strengthen our connection with the community.

Our Agriculture facilities have also been significantly enhanced, including a shearing shed, yards and cattle area, supporting a strong and growing program.

Administration & Student Support Spaces

We place a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, ensuring every learner feels supported and connected.

Our modern Front Office and Administration area includes a range of meeting spaces that support collaboration with families and external agencies.

Students also have access to dedicated support spaces, including:

  • The Nest – a calm, welcoming space designed to support student regulation and wellbeing
  • The Hive – our pastoral care, ACEO and student support hub
  • The Cubby – a multipurpose sensory space tailored to support a range of individual needs
