Student Well-being
At Keith Area School, student wellbeing is a shared priority and a key foundation for learning, engagement, and success. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels valued. Proactive participation in events such as Harmony Day, and more individualised wellbeing activities such as ‘Movie & PJ Day’ and Breakfast Club, help build student connectiveness and morale.
A dedicated wellbeing team works collaboratively to support students across a range of social, emotional, and academic needs. This team, including Wellbeing and Engagement Leader, Aboriginal Education Worker, Pastoral Care Worker, Principal, and Deputy Principal are regularly available to support students with wellbeing concerns. Each role plays an important part in ensuring students have access to guidance, support, and appropriate interventions when needed.
Students are encouraged to seek support whenever they have concerns about their wellbeing, relationships, or learning. Families are also welcomed as partners in this process, working closely with the school to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Our school also caters for individual student requirements with modified assessments, subject selections, and Tailored Learning Programs where appropriate. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any concerns or questions regarding student wellbeing.
