School & Community Library
The Keith Area School and Community Library is a joint-use library funded by Keith Area School, the Tatiara District Council and Public Libraries.
The library is situated on the Keith Area School grounds which offer benefits to both the school community and the wider Keith community. In 2012, Keith Community Library become a part of the state wide One Card system, which means that any library member can request books, DVDs, Magazines and other resources on line and return and borrow from any library in the state that is part of the One Card system.

Activities
Storytime:
Every Friday morning during the school term the Library hosts Story time at 10.00am. All children under school age are welcome to attend (babies included). Children read stories, sing songs and nursery rhymes and join-in in activities. Please come and join us as it is a great way for young children to become familiar with the library, meet new friends and borrow books.
School Holiday Activities:
These are held during school holidays and are advertised in the School newsletter. Please contact the library for further details.
SALA:
Keith Community is proud to host local artists’ works in the library in August and have displayed artists’ works every year since SALA began. We look forward to doing so again this year and welcome you all to visit in August.

Joining the Library
Any permanent resident in South Australia is welcome to apply to join the Keith Community Library.
For those who are aged 18 and over formal identification showing your name, current local address and signature must be presented.
If you are under 18 years of age your parent or legal guardian must complete and sign our application and show proof of identity.
To borrow from your library you need to bring your library card with your selection to the circulation desk.
You may borrow up to 30 items with a limit of five DVD’s and two CD’s per card.

Loan periods are:
14 days for DVDs and CD music
14 days for Magazines
28 days for all other items.
If you wish to keep an item for longer please ask a staff member to renew it for you (subject to item availability). Returns can be brought into the library during opening hours or deposited through the after hours chute outside the library.

Children’s Programs
Story Time is held for all Preschool aged children from 10am every Friday during the school term. Story Time is special opportunity for you and your little one to enjoy stories and craft activities and interact with library staff, other children, and families. It allows children to hear rhymes, stories and language and broaden their creativity and imagination.
School holiday activities and special events are offered throughout the year.
Photocopying and Laminating
The Library provides a photocopying and laminating service. Please ask at the Circulation Desk for assistance.
Internet Access
Use your Library Membership Card to book a free public internet computer, available to the public for 1 hour sessions. You only pay for printing.
Bring your own device and access our FREE wireless internet.
